Burke Interview:
Q:What is your role with the Flames?
A:Supervisory role. Work on signing/trades together. Feels the structure is the future.
Q:How has the working dynamic worked out so far.
A:Good, keeps contact daily. Happy that many road games will out of the way early in the year.
Q:How do you like your defensemen on the big club?
A:TJ Brodie is good. (Shocker.) Giordano is good and a good captain. Kris Russell is a small quick guy. Likes him. Wideman is doing well this year.
Q:Thoughts on Jooris? Granlund?
A: Jooris made some noise at camp. Granlund has been quietly good.
Q:AHL/NHL team is run the same way, thoughts?
A:It should be that way across the league. Makes the transition easier for prospects. The slow start of the babyflames should be expected from a young team.
Q:Providence players? Gilmore/Jankowski/Gillies
A: Gilmore is a good 2-way guy. Jankowski is good big and skilled. Likes Gillies.
Q:Is it nice to be able to go to an away game.
A: Yep. Hasn't been able to see Adirondack yet, but is liking the work ethic he's seeing.
The interview was pretty fast paced but that's the rough outline of it.

Flames in penalty trouble after Sieloff flips the puck out on the pk to make it a 5 on 3 pk ... except Hamilton pulls the goalie for a 6 on 3.
