The most exciting Flames game I've seen in a long time. Most players were engaged and involved in the game.

Hiller signed for next year, Ortio on a one way next year. Ramo the odd man out!

Thought he had a good year last year especially towards the end. Stood on his head tonight, and won us the game against the oilers.

We better bench him soon if we want McDavid lol!

Hiller has looked good too. If he plays against the Blackhawks tomorrow and we lose it is expected. Got shelled in St Loius, but its too early to judge.

Ramo has looked awesome!

I also hate Joe Colborne! I also love Joe Colborne. He has zero chemistry with a magician like Gaudreau. Guy cant take or make a pass if his life depended on it. Yet he is strong on the puck, and getting stronger. He is money in shootouts too! I love the kid, I hate the kid! Yet I still love him.

Sounds like Bouma's injury/issue is not serious:

Calgary Flames @NHLFlames
Head coach Bob Hartley says Lance Bouma will be re-evaluated tomorrow and he could play in Chicago. #NSHvsCGY

I only caught parts of the game tonight but of the parts that I did see...

- Ramo looked solid. Made some key saves which kept the Flames in the game
- Setoguchi showed flashes of the brilliance that made him a first round draft pick. If he can continue to improve, he's got a spot on this team. I think he knows that (or at least I hope that he knows that) there are kids chomping at the bit to get up here and his time is limited if he doesn't produce.
- Brodie and Giordano are amazing. Clearly I'm preaching to the choir here, but those two are amazing. Tons of fun to watch - especially knowing how young Brodie is and how much more time he has before he hits is supposed 'peak'
- Backlund looked great tonight. Fantastic positioning. Looked like the Backlund of second half last year.
- Nice to see faceoff wins again - that is an area the Flames have consistently struggled in (though it improved last year).

All in all a much better effort than St. Louis. This was the Flames team that I expected to see this season!

Is it just me, or wouldn't it be nice to see Gaudreau out with Backlund, Gio and Brodie in the OT to try and score other than having Glencross and his lack of effort out there? Pretty sure those 3 can take away most of the defensive liability away from Johnny out there.

Few points from the game

Ramo - awesome game, guy was making kipper like saves all night.
Backlund - finally getting back into form, looked like the guy we saw at the end of last season which is awesome.
Colborne - solid game, killer on the shootout.
Gio and Brodie - wow...

we made mistakes and had to fight hard for the win but it was another really fun game to watch.

Finally looked like the team from last year.

Brodie and Ramo in beast mode.

Backlund and Russell with solid games. Monahan with his best game of the year.

And the haters are going to hate this, but Setoguchi with a very good game. Has gotten better in each game.
