If was 25 years old, I wouldn't buy a new car. It's not worth the expense/depreciation given the amount of income you have right now. Buy used and use the money toward something else like paying off student loans, rent, downpayment on buying a house, etc.
Funny story, my friend in nursing asked at a Subaru dealership and they said 90% of Outback buyers are in their 40s+ and it dissuaded her from buying one. This however, also means it keeps its value as it's in demand with older folk.
Like what the guy above said, as for what women think of you based on the car that you drive...it doesn't really matter unless it's a junker or it's a mess because it reflects on your personality. The only other way it could influence their thoughts are if you drive a luxury brand like BMW/Mercedes because it could imply you make more money or are more financially stable.
An SUV with AWD and good storage space is a good idea in this city though. It's good for the winter, trips to costco/ikea, trips to the mountains (I've had 2 rafts and 2 bikes inside mine), etc. Even if you aren't really active or outdoorsy right now, but trust me, at 25 you meet new groups all the time and you might meet a new group of friends this winter or summer who want to do that stuff...You'll be glad to have the utility then.
