For me, it's not about "changing" one's mind. It's more about laying out the injustices and inequities faced by both sides so that a reasonable compromise can be made.

If one side or the other can't admit to any shortcomings, then that's on them.

By all accounts, the headline is completely accurate; the 400 hectares would be the largest seizure of Palestinian land in 30 years.

Your apparent willingness to shrug it off as not a big deal doesn't make the statement an exaggeration.

For comparison, the seizure of 4 square km of the West Bank by Israel is the equivalent of the Federal Gov't seizing 470 square km of Alberta, such as over half of the city of Calgary. Do you think that would go over as not a big deal?
I do think that.

CFB Suffield is much larger than 470 square km

More illegal Israeli settlement building.

"They say these neighborhoods will remain a part of Israel under any future peace agreement, but the Palestinians consider them settlements and say construction there is illegal, a position backed by the international community."

A one-and-a-half year-old Palestinian baby was burned to death and three of his family members were seriously wounded late Thursday night after a house was set on fire#in the village of Douma, near Nablus. According to reports, settlers were those who set the house on fire after targeting it with firebombs and graffiti. The Israeli military called the attack "Jewish terror."
