For me, it's not about "changing" one's mind. It's more about laying out the injustices and inequities faced by both sides so that a reasonable compromise can be made.

If one side or the other can't admit to any shortcomings, then that's on them.

Your apparent willingness to shrug it off as not a big deal doesn't make the statement an exaggeration.

For comparison, the seizure of 4 square km of the West Bank by Israel is the equivalent of the Federal Gov't seizing 470 square km of Alberta, such as over half of the city of Calgary. Do you think that would go over as not a big deal?
