I don't disagree at all but I would caution that I remember some Flames fans scoffing at the notion of Weber being better then Phanuef at one time in much the same manner.

It is what it is.
Regardless of the underlying rationale it's still a bias.

not sure about the rest of the STH base but I do enjoy getting the highest price for a regular season game. Much easier to make double or more off Leaf fans than it is Oiler fans.

This is hilarious.

The Leaves troll famous for spouting stupid stats gets shown up with numbers so turns to the "have you seen him play" argument.

Yes, posters here have seen Gardiner move the puck. Mainly because every Leaves game is televised and shoved down Canada's throat.

His puck movement is decent by the way. Not elite. TJ Brodie is a better player than Jake Gardiner. Deal with it.

Jake Gardiner is now overpaid. Along with many Leaf players. Including Dion Phaneuf. They are equally bad though.

The thing with TJ Brodie is that Playfair taught him to play defence in the minors. He sacrificed some of his awesome offence to do this so now a player like Gardner is said to be a better offensive player. Bull.

There's people who move everywhere. We see Leaf jerseys in every arena.

Hell, there a million ex Montrealers in Toronto and you still don't see that many Habs jerseys at Leaf games.

You know what's fantastic about your argument? In every thread but this one, it's me posting stats and they're constantly ignored and the "Have you Seen him Play" argument is used to counter it by Flames fans.

And the stats posted aren't even that impressive. My James Reimer stats points were very valid and constantly ignored. (n I actually had a regular tell me save % was a "Useless" stat).

That's it. They like the money the Leafs make them. CBC made much more per 30 sec. commercial with the Leafs than any other team.

Because the ratings for the Leafs, even when they are the worst team in the NHL are huge. Do you not get this?
