A lot of fans in other towns were angry, especially in Pittsburgh.

His number with the Oilers was 5. Not going to get that here. And with Burke's mandate the only number available with a 5 is 15.

- Assuming 12, 14, 34 are off liimits, 24 numbers to be assigned to the roster (with Burke's 35 number limit), there's only so many choices...;
- By the time Bennett is ready for the NHL (2 years) Jones will be a UFA and (hopefully) moved along;
- He's the tied for the highest paid forward
, the man gets choice of numbers.

15 is the worst number for a Dman haha wow thats brutal. Who switches from a 3 to 15?
I like Burke's mantra and dont think that it is completely arbitrary. I hate all the vanity numbers the oilers have going on.

Colborne is the only player un-signed yet no?
I'm sure once they reach an agreement, he'll be there.

Wolf gets 45.
Colborne sticks with 8.

Contenders have great players wearing 19. Since 2004, the Flames to wear 19 have been Saprykin, Kobasew, Primeau, Mayers, Modin, and Blair Jones.
Is David Jones technically the best player to wear 19 for us in the last decade now?
