I think they were kind of laughing it off too much in the beginning then it just got in their head.
Ironically, every time I see Mikk practicing she is working on her shot.

At the time they shot this, Mikkelson's hand was still in a cast, so that likely affected her shot. Last week, we saw that she struggled with portaging the canoe because of her hand.

Also, we've seen things like that happen many times before on past races, where a team sees a challenge, says "Oh, this will be easy, we do that for a living", then, they over think the challenge and struggle on it. Meanwhile, the other teams don't have a clue, so they struggle through and hope for the best.

http://entertainment.ca.msn.com/cele...-canada-exit-1

Mickey Henry and Pete Schmalz - 9 shots
Pierre and Michel - 11 shots
Sukhi and Jinder -39 shots
Natalie and Meaghan - 57 shots

I'm still amazed by this. I guess if they were playing a real game and saw that 5 hole, they can nail it with greater than 1/53 chance. Sometimes you think too much and forget about your innate skills.

It is still pretty cool that they came out of the challenge in first place.
Judging by some clock watching I don't think the actual detour took that long. So I don't think Mikk and Spoons are very far behind.

Puck it. They left in 3rd but made it to the RB in first.

If the clock behind them was accurate then Rex and Bob finished the perogy thing at about 8:30 and ran into the N&M outside of Whiskey Dix a little after that.

Since the whole leg started at 6am you can probably infer that the first 5 teams are pretty close to each other.

Ok, see what you're saying.
Spooner noted that she knew where it was and they ran while others waited for cabs.
Local knowledge is invaluable. You have to wonder how Nicole & Cormac would have done in their backyard (I don't think they would've done very well)

Going to Normandy, I think the Francophone pair will have the advantage.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the resemblance between the brothers and Marty. They all even sound the same.

Good show last night. The visit to the war cemetery was a nice touch, as well as having the veteran standing on the mat. I would have probably shed a tear myself.

That being said, I am definately still going for the hockey girls. Other than them and the surfer dudes, I can't really get behind anybody else.

The Vet they had there looked amazing for a guy who had landed on Juno on D-Day. Incredible. Got more than a little emotional when they showed the cemetery.

And wow, Rob (or his partner) couldn't navigate to save their lives.
