I love how people begrudge a player for wanting to get paid. The career of a professional athlete is pretty short and if I were in a similar position I'd want to make as much money as possible. And I bet many of you would too.

It's pretty bad asset management by the Flames though. How many teams have traded for a player twice and both times lost them to free agency for nothing? At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if the Flames traded for him again in a few years.

Oops! We literally let this asset go and got absolutely nothing in return, but that's okay because we don't want to be that organization that gets low-balled at the trade deadline.

Yeah seriously what's the deal there? They've got some youngish defencemen (Larsson, Merrill, Gelinas) but that forward group averages about 34. They added Havlat and Clemmensen too. Team Grandpa

Yah, if I only made 50 million instead of 100 million my lifestyle would be terrible
