Important changes and updates!

This Saturday's Flames at Jets game has been promoted to national distribution on Sportsnet!

This can be seen on the Sportsnet schedule page.

The simulcast of the Sharks at Kings game on SN 360 has been taken off.

It should be promoted to CBC at 8 PM. kick the oilers vs canucks off that slot.

Sportsnet kicking Ron Maclean further to the curb in chasing the 18-30 year old demographic. Too bad cause Ron, even with his quirky humour, is a real hockey talent.

More good news, tonight's Kings at Flames game is now a national game. The game will be still be on Sportsnet West, but will be nationally shown on that channel. Viewers in Manitoba will still be blacked out, but can still see the game on Centre Ice.

It will now be a quadruplet header of hockey tomorrow on Rogers.

At 1030h

The Senators at Flyers game will be on Sportsnet nationally, but not the East channel due to TSN5 showing the game in the Senators region. Viewers west of the Senators region will be getting the Flyers feed and everyone can get this game in HD.

The Flames at Jets game will be on immediately afterwards. Viewers in the Flames region, the game will begin on the Sportsnet Flames channel if the Senators-Flyers game goes into overtime and the shootout. Viewers in Manitoba will see this game on TSN3. The game will be in HD everywhere.

Wow, more games added by Rogers. The Penguins-Sabres game will be on City and the Red Wings-Hurricanes game has been moved to FX.

The downside is that Flames-Canucks get Homer Hughson. The upside, Glenn Healy is in the Sens-Habs series.

I'll take that over any afternoon games.

That's great, consistency is the key here and good for us in the Pacific timezone. It's better than the 8:30 pm starts the Central teams are getting. I can understand the Sunday game, but it makes for doubleheaders which is always a good thing.

Im not a huge fan of the start time, but it makes sense, otherwise with 7 you've got overlap every night on the doubleheader on the same networks. Key difference now is every game is a national game.

Better than the Jets fans getting a 930 start time for their second game.

Bob Cole doing Rangers Penguins series... Too bad they couldn't convince him to come out west for a couple weeks. Ball doing Redwings series. Hrudey in studio. Hate Hughson when he calls a Canucks game.

Like: That all the games are on CBC and I can stream it for free!

Dislike: Hughson/Simpson. Really Rogers? The last thing a national broadcast needs is a homer.

I might be wrong but I think they used the NHL network If there was an overlap last year

My sources are telling me that the NHL Network will show the start of the Flames-Canucks game if the Senators-Canadiens game ends in regulation time. The second plan has CNBC to show the beginning of the Flames-Canucks game should both eastern games go into overtime.
