Carter with the last two goals, the most recent one being an empty net goal. It is 6-2 now and Carter has the hattrick as he did tip in Muzzin's shot on the Kings' third goal.

These 'Kings games are so much fun to watch, and I can see our team as good as them in a few years.

Anyway, away from my ramble, the Kings are just the better team out there. I think the 'Hawks are a great team, but the Kings are the only West team that is better.

That 3rd period was pretty bizarre as the Hawks just stopped playing and the Kings took over.

Injuries hurting Chicago? That was an odd 3rd period.

Hmm, makes things very interesting for sure. Be intriguing to see how the Kings handle home pressure now. Their fans will surely expect them to head back to the Staples centre and win the next 2. Expect the Hawks to come out like a wounded beast now. I can't see the Hawks defending that badly again, nor giving up a 2 goal lead. Looking forward to these next 2, should be a cracker.

Sutter, without a doubt, is one of the best coaches in NHL today, if not the best. This is precisely what Bylsma could never do - adjust and revise the play to outplay the opponent's game plan. Good for LA. Go Darryl. This series is far from over but whoever's going to win it should just sweep NYR in the finals.

FYI. Rangers have a pretty good goalie, sweep would not be easy.

Not sure how things are going to work out...but is there a mentally tougher team than the Kings?

Yep, everyone thought the Kings would sweep the Devils a couple years back, and that ended up going six. I think the favorite comes out of the west, but I don't foresee a sweep.

Would you not agree that either team is by far superior to NYR?

No injuries, it was just crash-bang-boom! The Bhawks didn't know what hit them. The Kings put engines on their skates and owned the 3rd period. Some energy boost must have been in their water bottles or they were taking lots of sudafed capsules during the 2nd intermission. In all seriousness, Sutter rallied his players and they came out with a drive only seen in the playoffs. It was fun to watch and Quick came up with clutch saves and the posts helped him out. Game 3 will be a blast.
