What is the most important/ beautiful historical sight?
What is the best food item/ street food/ restaurant recommendation that I can't miss?
Any tips or pointers are most appreciated- though logistically I think I am pretty sound.

I don't really know about #1 but obviously in terms of importance the DMZ would be on the list. There are many historical sites and monuments scattered around Seoul related to the Korean war.
If you want a variety of food that is easy to access and try just go to Myeondong. You'll find all sort of restaurants and street vendors. There is better food options obviously but this is so easy to access and navigate. Another area I liked exploring is Itaewon. You'll find all sorts of restaurants and bars there and it is the international area. There is a Canadian bar and other international bars where you find tourists from that country or expats. I don't remember very well but there are sketchy areas in Itaewon but I think it mostly around the red light district where the brothels and hookers are so be careful.
The most valuable thing for me when I visited was having a mobile hotspot/wifi. I grabbed one at the airport and had it with me everywhere I went and it was only a few $ per day.
