Flyers have 13 of the first 52 picks. I'm gonna take the full 1.5 minute on every pick just to be an ass.

I personally can't follow the draft when teams make multiple picks... I traded out of rht e1st round because of all the picks Dave was acquiring. Looks like one of the best things in this league has now gone sour

sucks because I loved the draft

I'm sorry but I'm slowing things the hell down when it gets to my turn, I'll be calling a huge timeout everytime I have a pick. This is ridicules

PM me and we can figure out how to make this work for you. (Use the Wild GM account remember). I know you have special circumstances and I'd rather find a solution.

The draft is my favourite part of the league too.

Did I just get (partially) blamed for making the draft suck?

I just found out that I'm headed out of town on the 20th and will miss the draft. I've got 11 picks in the draft (rounds 2 thru 5). Would anyone be interested in picking BPA off my list for me? If not I'd like to package them up for cap $ next year.

No no, let's talk about this....

You mention my name, sour and sucks...let's find a solution to make the draft more enjoyable for everyone.

What do you propose as a solution so you find the draft fun again?

I believe it's only one minute. Pretty sure it was last year...

Maybe we could do the draft over skype? That way we could say out the names that we are picking. That would make it partially easier I think.

^That would be more hassle. I don't think there's anything wrong with the current way of drafting. Few teams own a lot of the picks, thats just the way it is. Deal with it.

The point is a fair one - that it is hard when a team has multiple picks in a row to follow up immediately. This year is an extreme case where some teams have 4 or 5 picks in a row - so those names come off the board all at once and the next GM is in a tough bind to make an immediate decision.

So will be more willing to allow some time in those cases. With fewer GMs involved it should be a quick draft anyways.

Makes sense and it's reasonable to be accomodating to anyone who might need some extra time.

In the past I've been pretty hard on some folks - but moreso when I felt someone wasn't prepared. The key is to absolutely make sure you communicate with me. That is - if I message you during the draft and ask how much time you need - respond. We've had issues in the past where GMs literally vanish during the draft - which is when we've skipped picks.

Come prepared and communicate with me and I'll be reasonable.

Has zero to do with what I'm talking about. Teams can own 100 picks if they wish

I've got 27 picks. Didn't really realize it was that many.
12 of them or 4ths and 5ths - the bulk of which will likely be misses and get released.
My comments are in regards to speeding up the draft. I felt pressure that I needed to bow out of the 1st round because I knew the round would fly much faster and I didn't want to slow things down. The second round is starting to look no different then the 1st now.

This has been a slow progressing trend for the past couple years. Nothing wrong with it but at some time we need acknowledge that we don't need to shave any more time off the draft as it's already fast enough

Agreed - there was a time when the draft was 4-5 hours. If we can replicate what we've done the last few years that's more than fine.
