I thought Caboclo look surprisingly comfortable in summer league today, especially in the context of the lack of experience, the young overall age, and the language barrier. Showed decent handles, an excellent shot, a good willingness to pass (although he forced some passes) and good awareness on help defense. His one-on-one defense was easily the biggest weakness. Definitely not the '2 years from 2 years away' tag; I could see him being a contributor a year from now.

Nogueira is really intriguing. Very good defender, and excellent both running and defending the pick-and-roll. Of course the red flag with him is knee health, but when he's healthy I like what he brings.

Buycks was brutal. Showed no awareness of how to run the offense, which is really bad given that he's got more familiarity with what the Raptors like to run than anyone else. Machado also didn't step up. There's a definite opportunity for Kabongo get some minutes over either of those guys.

Whiteside... man has his body changed since his draft year. Incredibly imposing profile now, although it's hard to get a read on how that translates to NBA-size as opposed to summer-league size.

Shurna: Tall, white, 3pt-shooting PF? damn, it looked like the Raptors had brought Steve Novak back for their summer team. Excellent job off the catch-and-shoot (5-for-8 from 3), and didn't look awful on defence (didn't look good either... decidedly middling). Probably not a place for him on the Raptors, but a good summer league may get him a training camp invite and a serious shot at an NBA roster.

Drake, the prototypical NBA fan, players before team (and Raptors ambassador who will be cheering for the Cavs too)

"Of course, I’m gonna go watch games in Cleveland. If not for LeBron—who I said is a brother to me, we’ve got three kids from Toronto on one team, plus Manziel who is part of our family and our brother. I definitely have to look into some real estate in Cleveland and spend some months of the year out there. Like I said, my teams will always forever be who they are but I will support the group who has shifted to Cleveland."

"For Cleveland, a place that I’ve been to time and time again when I’ve been to touring, it's gonna be great for them, I’d love to see them grow."

More Drake, he got the Raps fined $25,000 for tampering because he's trying to pitch Durant to Toronto in 2016 (which is obviously never happening).

Hearing Raptors fined $25,000 for comments Drake made at a concert about Kevin Durant that were seen as violation of anti-tampering rules

Maybe they'll take it out of his ambassador paycheques.

Just one Canadian kid now Tristan Thompson since Andrew Wiggins and Bennett got traded to Minnesota. Sucks I was actually looking forward in watching Lebron's team without hating him. Oh well...

Looks like the fine could be dropped if the Raps strip Drake of the global ambassador role. Not happening.
