Jimmy Hayes (Kevin Hayes' brother) is a good 3rd liner in the NHL, Shore is more of a PK specialist/4th liner. Trocheck won the Red Tilson trophy (OHL's most outstanding player) last year, was very good in his first 20 games in the NHL this year. All Panthers' prospects.

Outside of Seth Jones I too hope they are developing these guys to play in the Olympics and World Cup.

Canada can beat them if they bring their best but would be nice to have a gimme if they bring the guys on this roster 4 years from now.

I would imagine with the lineup that has been released, that gaudreau will be added.

Looking at that line up, I can't imagine them not wanting a player like gaudreau. He would easily be the most gifted offensive talent on the team.

In an Olympic year, I would be astonished if any true marquee players partook in this tournament. Especially on the American side.

Awesome. With a woeful lineup he should see plenty of ice. This could not be a better scenario for Canadian Flames fans.

Monahan vs Gaudreau. I must make sure I am watching that game. What date are the US and Canada facing each other?

edit - looked up the schedule, because they are in different pools, the only way they meet is if it happens in the playoffs.

Isn't it usually just Canada and then the medal round they televise?

Watch for gaudreau to light it up for the USA but the team might not go very far with the line up they are going with.

Hoping Monahan has a great tourney and gets to play with some good players too.

Gaudreau is going to singlehandedly carry the Anericans to a 9-8 loss in the finals to Canada.
