We really do deserve a karmic win. Calgary fought so hard this season, even when it was over and out.

Technically I'm not wrong, though. I just wanted to rhyme in the meantyme.

Way too soon to say in Burke we Trust, but I like what he said today. Really like Burke today than I did when we hired him. Must admit maybe it is Flaming Red Goggles I have on, but I like Burke on our team.

Stood up for Hartley, not that Hartley needed it but he did.

Monahan has a bright future.

Ramo has earned the number 1 role.

It's a team day address the contracts quickly but not today.

Congratulated players and coaches on effort and dedicating themselves to the systems.

This year was a failure, but it wasn't a lost season.

"Thought David Jones was playing great when he got hurt."

Sounds like Jones will be back.

Burke on the Fan right now.

Says he was nervous about Brodie, Backlund and Jones in November. Wondered when they were going to start to contribute. Really impressed in how they stepped up and helped shift the culture from a tentative losing culture into a hardworking playoff driven team.

Mark Giordano was one of the driving forces for culture shift. Coaches deserve a lot of credit.

- Very impressed with the progression of the core group throughout the year, was nervous in November, waiting for Backlund & Brodie to step up and was happy they did

- Gio is a great captain, had a great teacher in Jarome.

- Says the TSN lottery draft is embarrassing, and it's embarrassing to be there.

Loubardias asks better questions, and sounds more legit and learned in the process. I'm glad he's the one doing this on the Fan.

I thought he would be talking more about Johnny.

you know like even when Johnny isn't around people should be asking "Where's Johnny"

The responses to the questions are repeated here 3-4 times, so the reporters feel an obligation to ask the same questions over and over.

Burke still set on the availability of one defenseman in the top 10.

Are Steinberg and Loubardias the only reporters at this press conference?

"It's an odd draft... up until last rankings only 1 d man in the top 10"

Fleury was moved up is still not in the top 5.

Like the Forward group there is.

Size and Skill with Draisaitl

Skill with Reinhart

Skill and grit with bennett

Ritchie is a powerforward

- We need to get bigger & add some pieces, will be the GMs focus.

- Odd draft, only one defencemen in the top 10

- Won't draft by position

- Likes the forward group in this years draft class

- Says theres skill & size in Draisaitl.
