I really hope someone puts up a poll for this after the draft tomorrow.
Want to see what the popular opinion here is at the position we end up in. If it's at 4th, though, we might need to take Ekblad and Reinhart off the list of options because that's too easy (and probably unrealistic).

I like the idea of a poll also with these choices.
Sam Reinhart
Aaron Eckblad
Sam Bennett
Michael Dal Colle
Leon Draisaitl
Can some one explain why the organization isn't high on Draisaitl
Lack of physicality if I'm betting, maybe footspeed. He is really good at protecting the puck, cycling and playmaking in the other team's end but no one is going to call him a burner and he could go into the corner with a dozen eggs and come out with 13 unbroken.

Burke suggested he didn't like him at a luncheon but didn't elaborate. His comments about him on the radio today were more positive. We don't know where the truth lies.
Hopefully it was a smoke screen, Burke complimented him today apparently.
You can't be ruling guys out publically before the draft just from a leverage point of view, and even more important, Burke should not be the one unilaterally making the pick anyway, the flames pay guys to watch these kids night in and night out all season to advise on the best guy.
Anyway I think Dal Colle has pulled away from Draitsaitl in the playoffs, he is leading the OHL in PPG scoring in the playoffs, not that it is everything but just to put it in perspective, he is outscoring the third coming McDavid who is on a team that is twice as good offensively... and he is only 6 months older than McDavid. Going to be a beast in the NHL.

I am not going to pretend I know a lot about the draft eligible player except for the Top 3 Sam Reinhart, Aaron Ekblad and Sam Bennett(not in particular order). Whoever the Flames scout and GM pick would be good enough for me. It would be a bonus if Ekblad's or Reinhart's stock goes down like Seth Jones last draft. If one of those 3 are available by the time the Flames pick, then they would be foolish not to pick them.
I think Burkie will go after a big winger especially with the smallish skilled forwards Sven Baertschi, John Gaudreau and Paul Byron already in the system. I believe no defenseman rated in the Top 10 except for Ekblad.

Draisaitl at 6'1 210lbs 105pts seems to be in Burkes wheel house.

Also re-watched some highlight youtubes on Draisaitl, not so sure where this whole lack of "Truculence" came from. I seen him plant more than a few guys in those highlight reels.
"What are your thoughts on possibly playing for the Edmonton Oilers?"
...
...
"Uhhhh. To be honest I haven't really thought of whatever team I'm going to be going to..."
This question was asked Jan 13, about the halfway point of the season... and they're already asking top prospects about a high draft possibility. I want him a Flame to show this video to every Oiler fan forever.
Draisatl does have a physical component. He is a strong skater too, it's just often overlooked because he's the kind of player who slows the play down.

Everywhere I have read says his skating is middling at best.

Realistically, it could be any of the 'Big 5' in Flames threads on stage. There's nothing anywhere to suggest what player is more or less likely to be taken. Just a collective of personal perspective, perception, and speculation.
