No, Brodie made an idiotic play and decided he wanted to take a nap on the ice.

That play works 80% of the time, give some credit to Spezza for making the right play.

Ya, lets re-sign the guy, his -22 or whatever it is doesn't actually show how well he's playing...
The stupid icing and awful defensive plays infront of the net make him the best bottom pairing guy we could get.

Really? Butler ices the puck then on the ensuing faceoff gets the puck and makes a pass in no man's land then he tries to pick off the pass which leads to a mini 2 on 1 because of his terrible pass that only happened because of his terrible icing but it's Brodies and hudlers fault?

And who turned the puck over that led to him having to take a nap on the ice because his other defenceman was caught too high?

As much as i believe that his play has improved this year, it really scares me that Butler has the most TOI of anyone in this game

I just went back and watched that second goal. All Butlers fault. Terrible icing followed by a turnover followed by a pinch to pick off a pass that failed. Brodie was left hanging. I think some were too busy posting on CP and only looked up to see Brodie on the ice and assumed it was his fault.

Well thanks. I can post screenshots to prove my point too. Because fact is the play happened exactly how I described.

He's getting so much ice time because we have 2 rookies on the third pairing.

Won't matter, you're just a hater.
Can't even call the guy out for legitimate garbage play. His support is overwhelming.

Ugh, just hearing Joker and the Thief gives me horrible flashbacks of an ineffective powerplay.
