Perhaps I should have posted it at the end.... for me it was a great game by everyone. Knight and Hanowski even showed some more confidence than in prior games (the goal aside).
Everyone watched games differently...no right no wrong way. As an example, I watch the goalie as soon as possible on 1-1s or continue to watch him for as long as possible after a save to see the positioning and confidence in the save. When it comes to Butler, I do not see him do the little things right. Im a armchair fan and obviously the organization does as he is still around. I could go back and watch the game and point out numerous occasions he panics with the puck and tries to go up the ice instead of over to his d partner which lead to a couple icings tonight and multiple times a flame got the puck but was shadowed and didnt have a chance to make a play with it. Or when he is in front of our net correctly positioned but not looking around to see who he has to grab but watches the play. This lead to him taking a ridiculous holding the stick call tonight when he was already in perfect position to just play the man. I also cringe when he has the puck in the O zone at the point and wants to shoot. He often forces the shot to the net when it is not there and it should have been thrown to a guy down low. Butler has had some great games this year and I personally think he is at his best when he keeps things simple and doesnt try to do to much/get fancy.
Again, we are all arm chair fans and entitled to our own opinions. Its not as if I created the post game thread and titled it Butler is a idiot... it was a simple observation.

My question: Which goalie goes down when Ramo is healthy?
My heart says Macdonald, my head says Ortio.
Burke said it'll be Ramo and Ortio up. Unless Ramo hits a huge hot streak and Ortio isn't getting much ice time, in which case he'll be sent back to Abby so he gets to play

I think Butler has been fine the last few games, infact I would not be surprised if he gets resigned by Burke. He does have his off nights of course as you pointed out.. but everyone makes mistakes and I'm sure if you watched every single D man on our team as closely as you did Butler, you could arm chair some glaring mistakes as well.

Agreed 100% - I have been critical of several players and always get called on it. Butler doesnt even get mentioned if "Smid kills" puts that one in our own net. Ill try putting my party hat on and focusing more on the good!

Considering that they seem determined not to give MacDonald a start, I'm betting he's the one going down. Ramo and Ortio will be our tandem for the rest of the year, and probably next year too.

Does anyone else think that Byron didn't actually touch the puck on his goal? From the replay I can see (I didn't watch the game), It didn't look like Byron touched it and it went off Andersen's stick and in...
