Nobody in the league I hate more than Bieksa, I've never seen a more cowardly hockey player. He has never fought a guy in his career he doesn't have a size and weight advantage on.
He had a cut that looked to be above the eye. Not a great place to get hit -- I'd be more concerned about a concussion.

Considering Grats, Smid and Bouma are the only three guys left who can handle themselves in a fight... Unlikely.

Brodie has got to stop going against the flow all the time. He gives up the puck too often trying to reverse when there is no need to.

I think Poirier will be that guy, I can't see Monny being much of a fighter

On the replay he clearly put his hands on his helmet to cover his head. Likely because he was a bit dazed from the shot and also because he could feel the cut. He did not want to get up and fight based on his body language.

Thanks, I missed the replay. From what people on HF were saying and from the quick glimpse I caught it looked the other way.

I don't think he'll be an NHLer for the Flames moving forward. Too many guys coming up behind him. He could be a piece usable in a trade though.

Bieksa 6-1 198
Giordano 6-0 200

First time for everything I guess.

Iggy is a power forward, Monahan a 2 way center. Very different roles.
