Look Viktor, I know the Ducks are in 1st place, and that Anaheim is +20°C, and that Edmonton is -20°C, but… um...

Realistically the picks don't matter because Edmonton sucks at drafting if the player isn't on the front page of the hockey news with the byline "Our consensus number one pick".

Is Fasth going to be another savior or exposed as benefiting from playing behind a very good team in Anaheim? Only time will tell, my guess is that his groin will exploded like dried wood from all the action that he's going to see. The nice thing for the Oilers is that they're not spending a ton of money on goalies. But I don't really think that this is any more then nibbling around the edges of a massively badly built organization that has slow roasted in incompetence juice for the last 8 years.

The bad coaching, lazy players and poor defensive awareness issues are going to be very difficult and painful to fix and shuffling goaltenders isn't going to help that.

For the Oilers to regain some faith with their fans they have to make a major move tomorrow, its just that simple, and Justin Schultz and Nail and Eberle aren't going to net the kind of franchise shifting move that they need to do.

I fully expect a mac-t press conference tomorrow after they fail to do anything significant and Hemsky and Gagner are still part of the team where Mac-T whines that they really really tried, and Lowe will stand in the background and flash gang signals while booming "6 Rings b1tches"

Have the oilers ever really had a good defensive unit? Don't think they'll ever get that notion in the works.

Really that's the bottom line. Unless the pick is in the first round the chances are the Oilers are going to waste their pick. Really you could take away all their picks after the 1st round over the past 5 years and they would be no worse organizationally.

Anaheim + 20
Edmonton -20
Are you sure he is talking about temperature?
That might be goal differential last week.

San Jose backup Alex Stalock if quickly wondering if he can restructure a NMC to include a list of 29 teams he would be willing to go to.

Good moves by the Oilers to address the goalie situation. I like the 1a/1b approach, I think we'll see alot more teams moving to that in the next 10 years.
