Just too hard to beat the same team twice in the same tournament when they're that evenly matched. Should have worn the lucky white jerseys as well - not sure what Canada was thinking there.
Hopefully get a bounce or two here but the Americans are blocking every shot or pass into the slot area. Going to be tough.
Americans seem content to ice the puck and dump/change with 14 minutes to go. That's too early - maybe Canada can get some traction here.

Dineen only got the job 2 months ago, after the other guy quit. Can't really pin this on him, team was already picked and were well into their 4 yrs of development.

Also need to get a more aggressive forecheck going. Should basically never be the case that there aren't any red sweaters on the screen. Someone's going to get tired and panic and cough one up.

That's why the Americans were heavily favoured since the start. They had already been beating Canada in their matchups and then the coach up and quit two months before the Olympics.
Would have been hard enough to beat them with the old coach.

The US has legitimately had a better program for years now, almost going back to the last Olympics. It shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone that they're going to win, on paper they probably have the better team as well.

Pretty predictable play by the Canadian ladies.
Streak down the LW, shoot a cross crease shot, no one home on RW to do anything with it.
Wash, rinse repeat. They've been focusing far too much on LW side and Americans will take it all day long.
