WTF!!!! What the hell was that??? Why is J'Tia not gone already? Christ what an episode. You just can't make this stuff up. Throws out all the rice, and yet she stays? Wow, mind boggling.
Oh and ouch to Cheese and transplant taking Garrett so high. He looked like a good Survivor there for most of the episode, but really blew it at tribal. He must not talk a lot of strategy when he's playing no limit.

Dropping garrett was the smart move. They were dangerously close to embarassing themselves as the 'brains' if that move hadn't played out like that.
The numbers to get Garrett out, who was clearly also a problem around camp, only existed at that time. They can vote out J'Tia next time for being a loose cannon, because they can all agree she's the next to go because she's too volatile to work with. Challenges might be tougher but that's not certain and it might speed up a merge, which is ideal for a solid two-some.
Morgan is fantastic so far.

It was a great episode I loved the one player wondering what the criteria was for selecting players for the brain tribe.
Garrett just is an utterly stupid person which when combined with his inability to shut the hell up doomed him.
The brain team was literally willing to forgive starvation to get rid of him.
I would expect Jeff will give them a devils deal next week in exchange for a bag of rice

Wow, that was one hell of an episode! Also, I thought that was pretty quick thinking on Morgan's part "Look at what I picked out for us to use." Couldn't believe that Garrett just wouldn't shut up, That is why you don't tell people who are getting voted off that they are getting voted off.
Also glad that Tony found the Immunity Idol.

Pretty good first episode, surprised how well the beauty tribe did. And yes... Morgan was nice.

I'm not surprised the Marlins' president was voted off first. He played the game like he builds his baseball teams, terribly and without realizing you can't score if you don't get to first base. When they announced the average IQ was 130, I didn't think it was that high. After seeing them play, I was right. Garrett should have been on the brawn team, or has never seen an episode of Survivor before. He was awful.
Morgan's rack is outstanding.

Overall the Beauty tribe had more Brains than the Brains tribe LOL. They could do well.

It's unfortunate the only thing the breakdown of tribes into beauty, brawn and brains did was give CBS a marketing tool. But then again, you couldn't really have 6 beautiful airheads and hope they'd be able to compete. You also couldn't have 6 complete "nerds" and expect that tribe to compete.
But wow is there ever a ton of stupidity in the "brains" tribe.
I do love when a guy holding an idol goes home. Or in this case a guy who had an idol and didn't even bother to bring it. I wonder had he brought it would he have been smart enough to see which way the vote could go based on tribal council? I'm not so sure. Good thing he knows how to play a hand of poker because I'm not sure how successful he'd be doing much of anything else with his complete lack of personal skills and grasp of social situations (so maybe he is a nerd). I think there are a couple of genuinely smart people on that tribe but their game may be sabotaged before it could even begin.

Yeah, that's what the friend and I watching the episode thought, too. David was too busy playing the "last 1/3" of the game to figure out how to actually GET there first.

We see it so often on Survivor when a tribe gets rid of their strong people early, as they see them as threats to win the game. This causes them to lose the early challenges, which in turn causes their moral to drop, team to be depleted and when they finally merge, they are vastly outnumbered and are voted off just before the jury.
You need to keep the end game in mind, but need to be mindful of the present. Although it's cheesy, I believe it's true that you can't win the game in the first week, but you can easily lose it.

I like him too. When he first opened his mouth I was like "Here we go again..." but he actually seems pretty clever and has a good sense of humor. He could make it far in this game.
