Over Iggy, c'mon. No one carried the Flames through the tough times like Iggy did. Lanny came to the Flames at the latter half or even latter third of his career. Iggy was a Flames for most of his. Can't even compare.

I really hope Iggy can hit 30 this year. But more than that, I hope he gets to win the cup.

Captained team to the cup in the twilight of his career (not a big contributor on the ice, I know, but spiritual leader all the way), finished his career here, great humanitarian and community contributor ... Lanny is at least Jarome's peer in this. Two great Flames, one with a ring. End of story there I think. Plus he still holds the Flames single season goal scoring record, and probably always will.

Humanitarian and community contributor, absolutely. Lanny is amazing.
Two amazing Flames, one with a ring. However, one got robbed of a ring.
Single season scoring record in the 80's... It was a much higher scoring league back then. A better comparison would be among his peers in the NHL. He was 2nd in goals, which is no small accomplishment, but he was not in the top 10 in points.
Iggy scored the most goals and most points in 2001/02, meaning he was the best player in the world at the time.
Lanny is undoubtedly one of the best Flames of all time, and I would say he's the team's best ambassador of all time as well. Iggy is the best player to ever put on the Flames jersey though.

How can you possibly hate that team after what they did to Vancouver in 2011? Easily my 2nd fav team in the NHL.

Haha! Hes such a fitness nut, if there was ever a bronze statue of Iggy outside of the 'Dome it would be of Iggy hoisting his bronze statue over his head!

We've all seen this iginla before... He's always one of the very best in the game but when he's in this kind of zone... He's a scoring machine! I would say 30 is a solid bet right now.

A week ago I would have said not a chance but he only needs 5 goals the rest of the way and he seems to be on a hot streak with these multiple goal games so it's definitely possible. Great season for Iggy. Can't wait to see him in the playoffs.

Great to see Iggy going on one of his classic late season tears. Now it's only 5 goals in 14 games to hit 30

The Wild must have nightmares before playing him.

Another 2 goals for Iggy tonight! Up to 25 on the year now.
I'm really happy for him as he's my favorite hockey player and I hope he and Bruins can win the cup this year.

Of course he will score 30. I can't believe some people doubted him. Barring the latest lockout, Iggy will always be a lock for 30 until he proves otherwise. He'll hit it again next season too.

Been following Iggy and the Boston Bruins all season this year. I must admit, I didn't really look into Boston's players stats in the past. I'm surprised that they don't really have any one player that scores a lot of goals. They really are a team that scores by committee, and have a ton of depth throughout their lines. The fact that Iggy is leading that team in goals at 36 years of age is pretty impressive IMO. I think he looks fantastic on that Lucic and Krejci line.
