Kypreos realizes that Nieuwendyk winning the Cup in Dallas and his time as GM in Dallas were more than a decade apart, right?

Then he gets fired to be replaced by Iginla and assistant Corey Millan.

I'd like to know Kypreos' sources on that one.

Probably overheard Elliotte Friedman speculating on the big show this afternoon. Friedman said that he wouldn't be surprised if he nudges Nieuwy again this summer about the job.

At 14:22 of the first period in the Flames/Predators game, the NHL Situation Room initiated a review to further exam a play at the Flames net. The referee ruled that he blew the whistle prior to Predators forward Patric Hornqvist pushing Karri Ramo into the net. This is not a reviewable play therefore the call on the ice stands. No Goal Nashville.
|
Did they even mention that this was reviewed?

"The Calgary Flames" is absolutely fine grammatically.
When referring to a sports team by name, you use the plural, when by city, you use the singular.
"Calgary TIES it up"
"Flames TIE it up"
Pretty simple, Ashasx, you are correct.

Burke said in his Business of Sport event this morning that the GM guys they want, they have to wait until the summer. Niewy doesn't qualify for that.

Very few 6'4" defencemen weren't 6'4" in their draft year.
Chris Pronger when he was drafted:
And wouldn't you know it...
