Can't beleive your ex cheated on you during your trip to New Orleans. Where were you when this all happened? Weren't you guys together almost the entire trip?

We were there for a week. It was the 4th night we were there and we went bar hopping. There is a bar there called Aunt Tiki's and we met this guy named Johnny who seemed ok. He wanted to hang with us and we got to a bar called the Dungeon, two level bar. We were upstairs and my ex and Johnny went downstairs to get drinks and never came back up. I wandered around the French Quarter all night looking for them but gave up at about 7am and went back to our hotel. At 11ish she came in and told me she went back to his place and slept with him. Needless to say the next 3 days sucked bad, I did nothing. Fast forward to 2010 and I went back to New Orleans to face the demons there. I actually loved the city once I got over that moment. Just felt it was something I needed to do.

Can I ask what you did do when you found out? Did you rage? Did you let her back in the room? Did you actually sleep beside her the next night?
You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I am just curious how you reacted.

She just told you about it instead of lying?
Seems like she wanted out and that was the perfect excuse?

You guys didn't have any issues before that moment?
From the sounds of it you seemed like you were totally surprised by it, making it doubly worse.

... wow that's evil. Did you stay in the same room for the remainder of the week? I sure as hell would have left the bitch there as northcrunk suggested.
and your sister and brother-in-law still were friends with her after that? Seems crazy. I couldn't stay friends with somebody who did something like that to my brother. Hell, I have cut a couple so called friends out of my life for less.

Yeah, I would've left her in New Orleans, possibly unconscious in a swamp with some rabbits tied around her neck.

I cried, then I called my parents and talked to them, then I slept on the couch in the room and watched tv and tried to ignore her. On the plane home she asked me to forgive her and I said I had to think. About two weeks later I said ok, lets make it work but she decided to start trying to date her friend instead. I contemplated suicide and might have followed through if not for my son. It was a bad time.

Actually just before we left she was telling my sister she should get pregnant at the same time as my sister who was going to start trying for a child.

Man sorry to hear.

Do any of you actually think a sister capable of this behavior will give a damn about her aging parents... when they stop being useful to her she will find a reason to be no help at all.
