I don't really have an idea either, ha. I would imagine it would provide some shock absorption too, but that's just a guess.

The skates are the same as the sticks nowadays, it's all about performance and being light weight.
Anything that takes away from the ergonomics and
the weight/balance of the skates will throw a player off - at least for a while.
That being said in a game where half a second can be the difference maker, the players won't sacrifice it.

Byron? Who are we trying to prepare for NHL careers here?

I hate to see us lose and hate to see a season get squandered not even half way through, but this is too much to overcome. Should be expecting a top 5 if not a top 3 pick. Tough times..

Then things just got worse...at least I think Baertschi is still healthy!
Russell and Butler both have been playing huge minutes.

Flames website layout not designed to accomodate so many injuries, haha

That has got to be the worst D group in the league. I'd probably go Brodie/Butler, Smid/Russel, Breen/Smith but still just awful and not one right handed shot

Yea, probably should have picked him up. Wonder if we can offer a pick and get him.

Tough break for Monahan but the Wideman injury may be a blessing in disguise as a guy like Breen may get a better look. As of today the Flames sport the worst team defense and GAA in the league so things can't get any worse so may as well evaluate some of the younger guys. I personally don't think personnel makes a difference in Hartley's system because there is no defensive system in the first place just fire drills in their own end.

Sucks for Monahan, definitely not going to the WJC now.

On the bright side, whoever we draft is probably going to help us pass the puck like the Blackhawks.

Feaster is a showing his full colors about his fan fare for that idiot Butler. Does he not pay attention to the fact Butler 99% of the time voluntarily backs into his blue line giving up 10-15ft of space and allows the opposition to set up shop every shift.
Ya Feaster your buddy Butler was on the ice for the last 2 Hawk goals you jerk.

Well, on a positive note it´s a great opportunity from a development standpoint for some of the young guys to get 10-15 games in the NHL.

Byron. Best Feaster product currently not in the NHL.
