The STamps have the best RB, the best receiving core, the best front 4, the best punter and the best FG kicker in the entire league...and it may still not be enough to get into the GC...lol

Very fun game. Both D's were bringing it! Difference was the Stamps D holding strong with all the turnovers and the Riders were unable to cash them into TDs.
There should be a rematch in a few weeks again

So, Stamps clinched first place in the West. Cornish outrun Sheets 98 yards to 42. Cornish tied Sheets 12-12 for rushing TD. So, who's the RB now, Mr, Sheets? Charleston Hughes I think had 3 or 4 sacks versus Alex Hall 0. Cordarro Law is at 14, 1 behind Hall.
Marquay McDaniel surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in a season. Drew Tate showed he can come in the game and still be competitive. We all know how fired up and have this competitive attitude he is, but tonight's game he was not that annoying blame the other player but himself. I noticed a few times when his teammates made a mistakes, he didn't go after them and started yelling. I guess Hufnagel made a great decision in putting him in the 2nd half. Even though Glenn was throwing the ball well, he was struggling tonight holding the ball.
GOOD : QB Drew Tate, i think played well. Stamps finally found the other WR in Jeff Fuller. They had a bit of a problem finding someone to replace injured Joe West before. Fuller is our new Marc Boerigter..big and tall with speed and good hand. The whole defense I think answered the bell tonight. Hughes, Mayo and Simpson proved to Kory Sheets who really in the best RB in the CFL. They sacked Darian Durant 7 or 8 times tonight.
BAD : Way too many turnovers especially in the first half. Other than that, not a lot of bad things tonight.

LOL @ Sheets getting mad at his offensive co ordinator. At least we now know who is the better team player.
Hopefully this will be the last we see of the Riders and thier obnoxious fans.

Just heard an audio clip of Dwight Anderson after the game...still claiming they "are a better team" and will be back in 3 weeks and beat the Stamps cause again "we are the better team"...yadda yadda....i believe he stated it 4 times.
That team sure has a lot of guys that like to run their mouth.
As said earlier during the radio broadcast...if Kory sheets ran the ball like he runs his mouth, he would be at 2000 yards every year.

Pretty sloppy game overall but a telling game for both teams. Stamps had to rally from some adversity with the early 4 turnovers and a QB with happy feet. But there was no finger pointing or dissension just on to the next play. Stamps made a key QB change and overcame the poor start and took over a game that really wasn't as close as the score would have you believe.
Riders on the other hand despite getting fortunate turnovers wasted it with poor offensive play and dissension in the ranks. Sheets could see the rushing title slipping away and had a complete meltdown in one of the most "me selfish" moments I've seen in the CFL. Riders seem to be a team with lots of talent but too many individuals line Sheets, Anderson, Chick, etc. I guess they could still win the Grey Cup but their team dynamic doesn't look very good.
Love him or hate him Drew Tate is the best QB on the roster and the Stampeders best chance at the Cup. I appreciate Glenn being a good caretaker in the regular season but Tate adds that explosive downfield threat that the team has been missing with Glenn's dink and dunk offense where he needs a good running game to be effective. I think when Huff made this QB switch it's permanent.

To me, players running their mouths is a sign the head coach doesn't have control over his players. This is just providing the Stamps bulletin board material if they do meet in the West Final.

I am sorry I have to disagree with you. Glenn had a bad game but he does to find a way to win during the season. He's not perfect but I still think Stamps should stick with Glenn. Any QB even a great one in the NFL or CFL can have at least one bad game. One thing I noticed when Tate is playing, Cornish is the forgotten man all the time. It happens in the first two games and even showed when Tate came in the game. He likes to throw the ball all the time. I am more comfortable with Tate coming off the bench. We don't want our best player to just help block.

Actually that's Dave Dickenson that calls more passing plays not Tate. I certainly didn't seed Tate audible out of running plays today. Tate has always been Dickenson's man. He's he one that urged Huff to make the change from Burris. Glenn is a quality QB and Dickenson has done a good job developing a sort passing game centred around the run for Glenn but Tate throws the ball downfield and takes advantage of the Stamps WR speed. I believe in the playoffs you have to be able to make big plays when defences buckle down and take away the run and Glenn has shown to be ineffective when the pass blocking is not good like today. The offense simply has a higher ceiling with Tate at QB.

I don't like to hate on former players but I'm so glad he's no longer on the Stamps roster. Talented player but like Peyton Manning said; " He's an idiot".
