Lots of time for Ramo to still play.
I agree with going back to Joey Mac as he has the hot hand. Although nobody pegs him as having #1 goalie talent, he has never really had the chance. So far he has shown closer to being a #1 than a #2.
If we start Ramo and lose we would be upset we left what was working.
If we start Joey Mac and lose we would be upset we are not going with Ramo.
In the lose lose situation, JMac is the right guy based on the situation.

gonna be a tough test tonight for the kids against a veteran new jersey line up. good learning experience to see a professional like jagr and what it takes to be a pro for such a long time.

I hope they keep up the intensity of the previous games this season and hopefully New Jersey doesn't have the legs to match it.

Pierre Maguire was just on the team 1040 having a small Flames discussion, and the question was asked if these Flames are better than people give them credit for. Pierre's response was "give it till the 10 game mark" which is valid, then said "they haven't sustained any injuries yet", implying that he will reserve his judgement until they have a few more injuries in their line up. I don't really mind Pierre, I think he is pretty entertaining has an obvious passion for hockey, but the Flames are missing Stajan, Cammalleri and David Jones, which should be general knowledge for a person who's career is to report on the NHL. Not trying to derail this thread, but my little beef certainly doesn't warrant a new thread, just needed to air my grievance.

Flames win 4-2.

If you had of said those 3 guys would be injured to start the season, many of the prognosticators would have pegged the Flames to be last in the AHL, let alone the NHL.

I'm amazed at where we are. Super fun to watch.

I predict that Joe Colborne will be banging and crashing all night and will pick up his first goal as a Flame tonight by doing just that in front of the net.

Nice to see so many posts. It's early in the season, but the excitement is pretty cool.

It's mostly canadiana though.

Really excited for another big game. To everyone in my GM Connected league complaining about injuries- Calgary Flames start tonight without their top 3 players Stajan, Cammalleri and Jones.

I hope the wins keep rolling but I can't see it happening with the skill level, goaltending and lack of depth. When Stajan is replaced by Street and Jones by Jones... there be rough waters ahead.

Fortunately we are at home to a struggling team. If we can eke this one out and get one of our "stars" back we might be able to keep thing positivity train rolling.

I hope NJ gets last place overall this season. They have to forfeit their 1st and it would be awesome if it happened this season.

In tough tonight. I think the Devils are better than their record shows. They have the edge in goaltending at the very least, and they are deeper at forward with all of our injuries.

The boys are going to have to work their tails off to come away with two points tonight.
