There is no evidence to support that. Ramo has played 1 game for us.
It's unreal that people are writing him off so fast.
Even if after a couple of seasons Ramo doesn't prove to be better than Reimer, Reimer isn't the type of goalie you build around.

go oilers go, go get the rebound machine.
Reimer is an awesome backup, but a weak #1. Which is essentially what they have in Dubnyk.

Elliott hot garbage. No thanks.

The only person writing off Ramo at this point is Hartley.
All I am saying is Reimer has already been proven to be a far better goalie to this point.

No the Flames have not written off Ramo (IMO).... Escpecially after 3 games into a new season.
My guess the Flames are working with Ramo in practise....

Evidence: Flames are the only team that wanted him, He could not crack the lineup of the team that drafted him, KHL wins are worth what in NHL wins? 75% maybe? Less?
Reimer carried his team to the playoffs. He has a 53/32/14 record in the NHL with .915 save percentage.
That seems like pretty good evidence to me.

Please provide evidence that the Flames were the only team that wanted him.
He couldn't crack the line up 4 years ago - very relevant, thanks.
Reimer did such a good job carrying his team that the Leafs went out and spent assets to acquire Bernier. Four games into the season and it is no contest so far as to who is going to be their goalie.

What on Earth would be the point of making a trade that makes this team better right now? The goal is to be better in 3 years.

Not just Bernier, but there were a lot of rumours that they tried acquiring Luongo and a quickly expiring Kiprusoff last season to avoid going into the playoffs with Reimer.

Reimer put up some of the best numbers in the NHL last season. It was posted he had a .915 save%. It was actually .923 last season. One of the best in the NHL.

Yeah what a brilliant plan getting Luongo or Kipprusoff was.

Before the Leafs got Bernier, I saw so many people calling him a future franchise goalie.

I'm stating BEFORE he ever joined the Leafs. Are you seriously telling me the only people saying he was a future star was Leaf fans in Toronto when he was in L.A?
Again, people have been raving about his potential for years.

I misread. When he said that before the Leafs acquired Bernier, most people considered him a future franchise goalie, I thought the "him" was in reference to Reimer. That was on me, the way he said it makes sense.

The price was lower too from what the media speculated it would cost to trade for him. It;s entirely possible given Quick's huge contract the Kings might wish they kept the younger, cheaper guy.

I guarantee the Kings do not regret their choice. Lombardi knew he was trading Bernier before he extended Quick. Bernier was wanting to be a number one but that wasn't going to happen in LA. Bernier played one and a half seasons after asking to be traded. Lombardi agreed to do it but when the time was right. Bernier was nothing but classy and professional the whole time. I wish he went to a team I can respect but I'm glad everyone else is getting an opportunity to see how talented he is.
