In the grand scheme of recorded human history, 1956 could be considered to be "around" 1776.

If we're limiting our scope from the Declaration of Independence to the present day, however, then "In God We Trust" has only been on American money for 24% of that nation's existence.

And I'm guessing you're offended by it, too. Ok. Whatever. I think it's ridiculous, and I have a severe dislike for religion. To me, it's like people that get offended by being wished Merry Christmas.

But yeah. I get your point. Next time I'll be more careful when I post. America was founded by people that were religious. They didn't put it on their money until 1956. I'm crystal clear on that.
