I don't understand comments like "there's no reason to ever hit a woman." Why not just say there is no reason to hit someone period, and leave it at that? Don't see why this has to become a gender thing.

I dont think people have the right to just video other people in public, especially without consent. If they're committing a crime its one thing, for having their dogs off-leash? No way.

She's a tool. Leash your damn dogs, FFS. Does she live under a rock that she doesn't know dogs are to be leashed in all public areas, unless it's a specified off leash area? The only times our dogs are off leash is at the local off leash dog park. Town bylaw states that until they enter the park, they are to be leashed at all times.
She's a racist cow for her comments as well and deserves negative attention for that, if she goes around spouting off.
The only way the guy doesn't come off as a doosh himself, is if he's reported her several times before and she's never been caught and he was taping to give it as proof to the City so they could better deal with it. I just don't see that as course of action the city would take, though - asking for video proof.
And push back/punch back? Yeah no. Puts a person right at her level, and that's nowhere I want to be. Not for a simple push. It was mildy assy of her when her other actions are taken into consideration. She wasn't putting a beat down on the guy, she simply pushed his camera away. No need to escalate it further, with more physicality.

While I agree about not hitting the woman in this scenario you can defend yourself by hitting somebody if you fear for your safety. puckluck is going overboard with his response but you are no better. For somebody who claims to know the law you seem to know jack squat. Was the guy filming a dick? Yes. Was there an assault committed by the woman? Yes. Did the man fear for his safety? No.
