Fascinating.

Better get your eyes checked pops, I was talking about prostitution, not adultery.

Pops eh? Interesting, and very telling Oh..and even these "old" eyes can read just fine thanks....maybe you should be as clear on what you are saying as you are on insulting people because of their age.
So those against legalization...err.....soacial change towards prostitution..are all old? ...am i doing this right?
And again...what constitutes old? I must have missed the "old" cutoff though as i have been saying prostitution should be legalized for decades. So I guess I have that going for me.

Racial jokes are much more funny because everyone gets old one day but nobody goes from white to black.

I, for one, am shocked that First Lady is so appalled by the actions of a PC member!

Has nothing to do with him being a PC member. I would be equally appalled with this from any married MLA - PC, WRP, NDP or LIB; male or female.
In related headlines --- something I can agree with Premier Redford on.
Alberta Premier Redford 'disgusted' by MLA's arrest in prostitution sting
Quote:
Alberta Premier Alison Redford says she is "disgusted" by the arrest of a former Tory legislature member in a prostitution sting while on government business in the U.S.
Redford says Mike Allen's conduct was -- quote -- "more than inappropriate" when he was attending a legislative conference in St. Paul, Minn.

You hate the WR now more than ever....because a Tory caucus member got busted for soliciting prostitutes in the US?
OK then.

I don't know why people leave Calgarypuck in the summer. That's when it becomes the most entertaining!

Yeah, that is an odd comment, I don't really care that much that any person visits a prostitute or that he had an affair (seems like some false outrage, likely based on political party allegiances). However he is an elected official and is expected to hold himself to a higher standard, including not breaking the laws of the land that he is residing, particularly when on government business. In general it shows a disregard of common sense and that is an issue in itself.
I am not going to get worked up in a frenzy about the adultery stuff - that is where the argument against him takes a turn to the stupid, no one is privy to information regarding his personal life or his marriage.
Lots of people and lots of politicians have affairs, it doesn't mean that they are incapable of holding office and doing a good job.

I'm surprised there is even a debate. He was on business, representing the province and broke a well known, longstanding law. Of course he should resign. If anyone was employing this guy and he did that representing your business, you get fired...at least in my world. It really makes no difference whether your married or single, or what your personal circumstances are.

I think what this guy did was worse and he got away with an apology.
Of course a Premier has more pull than some unknown back bencher.

For this reason, I agree.
If the guy was doing it while he was at home, or on a personal vacation, I likely wouldn't care as much. Lots of people do illegal things, but I start to get annoyed when they do them while they are supposed to be representing me, and I am footing the bill.

One of the morals of the story for our horny MLA is next time go with the escort agency and not Backpage.
