So, he screws over the Flames with the better deal and then signs with Boston.
I know I am in the minority but his respect level keeps dropping for me. He played really well for us blah blah blah but he has been a ###### for the past couple of months.
Hopefully the Bruins don't even make the playoffs now.

Well, I'm happy for him, thought it was the right team for him all along, just wish he would've felt the same way last deadline. Also surprised he got 6 mil!

I thought none of the top teams would want him and he would have to sign for peanuts.

He didn't screw Calgary and going to Boston now much different than going at deadline.
Ridiculous to lose respect for Iginla over any of this.

A little surprised at the money, but he was on a near 30-goal pace last year.

Yep. Looks like Boston is effectively deferring about $4M of his cap hit until 14-15. I guess we'll see a year from now if that was a smart move. Could make it more painful to re-sign Bergeron.

The main target in the Iginla trade was a first round pick. The prospects are all comparable. The Russian is probably the best but it's the Penguins guys at 2-3 and Bart from the Bruins at #4.
Iginla didn't screw over again. Get over it people.

lol don't sign people to no movement clauses if you don't want them to exercise them, get real if you think he screwed Calgary over, he's the most important player to wear the jersey.

It's a 35+ contract so how will the cap hit be? Will it be the whole 6 mil? Because when Alfie signed with Detroit earlier they said the cap hit was only 3.5mil because the deal was 3.5 base+ 2mil bonuses.

If we make the playoffs this year I wouldn't be surprised if Iginla signed with the Flames next year.
