13 for the sides, 18+ rows behind the goaltenders.

Not the kind of rebuild I had hoped for.

That is going to be a messy cleanup, and I don't see how they'd be able to start the season at the Saddledome. There are dressing rooms, laundry areas, workout rooms, the ice plant, warehouses, kitchen facilities, elevators, security offices all at event level. I think starting the season is Saskatoon is going to be a REAL strong possibility.

Theres so much water on the Stampede grounds. It's going to take a very dedicated effort to get even a small version of Stampede up and running. So sad for CGY and the Dome. Cannot fathom that the ice making plant survives this.

I was there a couple of weeks after the flood, and it was quite devastating to the city. I suspect the situation at the Saddledome is much the same as it was at the Bridgestone Center

I dont think it will be that bad. The only critical item that is needed to be replaced is the iceplant. Dressing rooms and other things can be done on a temporary basis. Food sevices could be restriced early in the season as that is replaced but the overall building is sound. The saddledome is really just a concrete bunker. So they need to replace an ice plant, replace the electronics for the jumbotron, and replace 5000 seats. That is easily done in 3 months.

Either that or an 82-Away-game schedule....

I was just thinking what if this had happened in 2004? Would all the finals games have been played in Tampa Bay?

Are there any other facilities in Calgary that could temporarily hold the flames? COP?

My guess would be Edmonton, but who knows.

I wonder if 3 months will be enough time to get everything cleaned up. Since the saddledome is all concrete I wonder if the damage will be as bad as we think. Its going to be a busy summer.
