I remember my parents telling me about The Snug when they went to Scotland a really long time ago. I had forgotten. They are so tiny!
I thought the bartender's story about the American lady complaining about the bathroom was quite funny.

That was the best!

The door doesnt lock!

"This was my father's bar and his father's before him and no one's stolen a #### of that bathroom yet!"

Just watched a fantastic Netflix doc that is all about the infamous Gore Vidal and William Buckley 10 part debate during the 1968 RNC and DNC conventions, fascinating stuff about the two intellectuals which represented the right and left at that time.

Its also a stark reminder at how little has changed since then between the parties and the partisanship, highly recommended.

Not sure if this has been posted here(if it has Thanks to the poster for the recommendation) but I watched Tim's Vermeer last night with the wife and it was great. Basically a technology and art coming together. To me it was like the original photography, pretty amazing that even to this day no one knows his secret. Tim is also quite the genius and I really enjoyed watching him construct the room and paint.

Radio Revolution, the Rise and Fall of the Big 8.

This documentary was really interesting to me, because I grew up on CKLW radio. That such a famous radio station, that was so connected to the Detroit music scene, was actually in Windsor was always really cool to me. Not sure where it can be found, but if you happen to come across this, it's pretty good.

Another Netflix documentary that is worth checking out is "The Barkley Marathons". It's basically an extreme trail run covering around 100 miles over 60 hours in Tennessee. In 30 years only 17 runners have finished the course. If you have any interest in distance running it's pretty incredible to watch.

Technically only 14 finishers with a 3 time and 1 2 time finisher.

But yes I watched it and it is quite the movie. My uncle recommended it to me. Was really good!

Recommend for sure!! I love this race and the thought of it. I am hoping one day to do the Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache with my dad.

Watched 3 1/2 Minutes 10 Bullets on Netflix tonight. Another good documentary about the shooting of African American teenager Jordan Davis a few years ago after the killer asked him to turn down his "rap crap" outside a corner store in Florida.

One of the guys in my office is on the list for the Barclays. You pretty much need to meet someone who is involved already and get approval to be put on the list.

Watched Iverson last night and really enjoyed it. Got into the whole "practice" thing and the other parts of the press conference that are never played.

Thanks for the recommendation. It was a great insight into Iverson, I really only knew the negatives about him and I really feel differently after watching.

I agree, after watching Iverson I did a pretty hard 180 on how I felt about him. Very well done.

I also just caught the new episode of The Passionate Eye on CBC, The Secret History of Isis. It was pretty much rage inducing to learn how Isis grew and gained power while the west sat back and did nothing until it was much too late. More than a few really stupid decisions from both the Bush and Obama administrations.
