Noooooo! The Hawks better keep Bickell then! Last thing I want is for him to be an Oiler.

Oilfan and Offside...Very unlikely to keep either...their play, down the stretch, has increased thier value as UFAs, and given that Jimmy Hayes and Ben Smith appear to be NHL ready, I don't see the 'Hawks getting into a bidding war, as Bickell and Stalberg would only slot in as 3rd line wingers on the 'Hawk roster...The 'Hawks will have cheaper 3rd and 4th line options for next season.

Red Wings taking the Hawks to school tonight. Hawks want to play pond hockey while Detroit is hitting every thing that moves and forechecking like a Darryl Sutter team on steroids.

What an idiotic play by Oduya.
Easily could have cleared the puck on his forehand but instead tries to backhand it back into the crease towards the Wings player.

Man, you give Det an inch and they think they can win a Stanley cup. Series is far from over but this is reminiscent of the old dominant Red Wings.

It'd be just like the Wings to lose Lidstrom to retirement, sneak into the playoffs, and make it to the Conference Finals in a "rebuilding" year.
It'd be just like them to also have guys like Nyqvist, Jarnkrok, etc turn into bonifide NHL superstars as well, just as their current crop is nearing the end.

Thats why they are the best run franchise in the NHL. They grow players like mass tomato producers grow tomatos.

Slightly Ridiculous that hit wasn't called. Even worse that a goal was scored off of the non-call.

I'm conflicted about that. I want the Wings to win, but I enjoy seeing Franzen getting run.

We have seen Kipper receive way more contact than that on opposition goals. Typical Wings call in Joe Louis arena.

Pretty chintzy call there for Detroit. I think it should have counted.

How the boarding wasn't called is odd to me. No consistency.
I guess the no goal is because he wacked Howard in the head?

That was probably payback for them not calling the hit and it leading to a goal.

Typical. Now instead of 3-2 which is what the score actually is, the Wings make it 3-1.
