Are we seriously critiquing the Leafs for throwing a tail gate party to mark the start of the playoffs? That actually sounds pretty sweet to me and I'd be so excited to go if tonight was the start of the Flames playoffs and they did the same in front of Flames Central down on Stephen Ave or somewhere on the "Red Mile".

Stupid Leafs looking to provide cool #### for their fans and makes them money, what dummies!

I figured this series might hit 5 games but wow... this is just total domination from a top team playing a team that does not belong on the same ice.

They're not. They have the worst shot differential of any team to make the playoffs in over a decade. They basically relied on having the #1 shooting percentage in the league and Reimer/Scrivens playing over their heads just to achieve a modicum of regular season success.

Men against boys right now. Boston just much better in every aspect of the game.

There's no way the leafs win a single game.
They just don't have the talent through the lineup to compete with a deep boston team.
Also, Reimer looks pretty mediocre.

Go Bruins, it is 4-1 now! Carlyle should pull Reimer. The RDS commentators were blown away with how the Bruins were owning the puck while shorthanded and good chances to score. I am glad I understand french as I do not have to listen to Glenn Healey and others. The anti-west CBC will not be getting my viewership for this series or for the Senators-Canadiens series.

It is also nice to hear the original HNIC song on RDS before commericials.

Even Luongo couldn't have saved them from this beat-down (althought the score would likely be closer).

The Leafs simply had no understanding of the intensity required for playoff hockey.

it really isnt, almost to a man (and woman) every single Leafs fan I've dealt with is a total dick. This looks good on them. Habs fans in the arena are dicks but outside the arena they're generally good to deal with. Leaf fans are on par with Canuck fans for a sense of entitlement and horrible attitude towards other markets and teams.

What a silly thing to say. Luo has such a long history of carrying teams on his back through the playoffs.

The Leafs are just not a good team, intensity has little to do with it when it comes to them against the Bruins.

The Flames in 04 looked pretty shell-shocked after game 1 in Vancouver too. I don't think game 1 for a team that's been out of the playoffs for as long as they have, with as little experience as their guys have, is a good measuring stick for how the series is going to go as a whole.

Leafs would not be a playoff team in the West.

Here's a nice series that I'm not conflicted about in the least.

I hope the Bruins pound the Leafs into dust.

The Flames also had the best player in the game at the time and a goalie that set some records I'm sure for goaltending in the playoffs. The leafs have neither.

I'm not writing the series off yet as anything can happen in hockey, but it's not like the Bruins are suddenly going to forget how to play for the next few games. This is men against boys.

You must know a lot of odd Maple Leaf fans or ignore what most of them say because I haven't found the Leafs to be any different than any other fans and better than a lot of fan bases.

I would say blow hard comments like the one I quoted are much worse than anything I have heard from Leaf fans.
