TSN really bothers me with how every year at some point they'll complain about long overtime games, and then they'll have the panel discuss amendments like 4 on 4 hockey or instituting shootouts. Watch, after the first long overtime game the subject will arise.

Shut-up! Not much better in this world than an NHL marathon overtime battle. No one cares how much sleep Ray Ferraro or Darren Pang is getting.

Back on topic. Outstanding hockey game. From the series I care least about, it delivers the best game of this first-round.

It's a bunch of cry baby easterners from Toronto, what else is new. Yes, like you said they should just shut their mouths and enjoy it. I betcha Pang is doing some holy jumpin when an OT goal is scored. Ferraro should be in the studio with a cot next to him and not be at the game.

The 3rd period was awesome, no other way to say it. I could watch it over and over. The Ducks never gave up and even though the OT was short, it was intense and what a goal. Detroit had to push it with PP coming to an end. Had the Ducks killed it off, they would have had the momentum.

Looked like he jumped into the hit. Both skates off the ice.

Though they're not what they used to be, Detroit is still a great team to watch.

Hit the head, used his elbow and jumped...that's the trifecta. How many games? 2, 3, 4 or more?

East / West blindside to boot. If the Ottawa hit was worth 2, that's at least 4 IMO. But the lack of blood, the lack of stretcher and the American market will likely suggest otherwise.

Yeah that too. But I knew the word trifecta...and I don't know what the word would be for four.

There were a lot of empty seats from the start. Like Flames games that game was only a sellout based on tickets sold not butts in seats.

The lower bowl looked like it was about 85-90% empty for the last 5 minutes though. I can't remember the last time I saw that at a playoff game. Admittedly though, I haven't had so many chances to watch in recent years.

This overtime is making it tough to go back to the L.A game until this one is resolved.

Wings took it to ANA and get the win. Dominating last five minutes by the wings.
