Yakupov leading the rookie scoring race now.

Quick, trade him Mactavish, make your "big move".

Odds are Minnesota still makes it. They'd have to lose tomorrow and Columbus still has to win.

I'd also like to thank Greg Sherman for matching Feaster's offer sheet for ROR...

Wild totally deserve this. Spending 100M on two players is idiotic.

Just like every season, the Oiler fans show up early on with big talk and all but vanish by late in the season when they've utterly embarrassed themselves with how bad their team is.

This season, we blew our team up with the acceptance we'd finish poorly.

If they end up one point ahead of us (something we're actually hoping for) and use that as a means to return to gloat, they're a sadder bunch than I thought.

But I wouldn't put it past them. That team is so bad it's funny.

The best part of this is that the Oilers are doing this on the road and they haven't won at home since the Flames game on the night of the Bouwmeester trade.

They've lost six in a row at home, and been booed off the ice a few times, and they get to end their season tomorrow at home against the Nucks, where they'll probably get spanked again.

So correct me if I'm wrong because I really don't know much about the tie breakers but assuming the Oilers win this (It's the Oilers, I still don't feel safe with a 6 goal lead) it appears the Flames would pick no higher than 6th (lottery excluded) and if the Hurricanes and Pred's get a point or more each we would pick 4th. Is this correct?

Also assuming the Hawks win tonight obviously.

Predators need to get 2 points.

The Hurricanes would pass us with a point, the Predators need to win (we hold the tie-breaker). Assuming Edmonton holds on and we don't come back we are guaranteed to be no worse than 6th going into the lottery.

I'm wondering this too... and if Tampa wins tomorrow they will have the exact same record as Calgary 19-25-4 so where does the tie breaker come from?

Thanks

Err ya missed that. But am I correct in assuming we hold tie breakers against then, the canes and TB?

Pretty sure this is the out of town thread, if you don't want to read what fans of other teams have to say don't come in here!
