Saddens me that he experienced that Calgary.
The team got booed because they were awful and he was the captain and star player of that team. I thought for the last couple years Iginla was floating around the neutral zone way too much and not playing any D whatsoever..

Suck it up, play a hard and you'll have no worries about being booed.

I don't think Iginla was ever booed directly though. The team as a whole was, he's lucky the fans in Calgary are so patient. The fans here were very, very patient.

I do agree Morrow has played better than Iggy so far. He is more involved physically in terms of hits and altercations etc.

There were only two seasons where I'd say Iggy dogged it on the D side, and that's 08-09 and 09-10, but it was only 09-10 it really affected the team. Outside of that, he rarely took the night off.

Pens fan here!

Iggy has looked solid, but hasn't lived up to the hype thus far. Its weird in that the thrill of getting him was so immense, but he's kind of just slotted in as a nice decent addition to the team. I haven't really heard many praises or complaints. He's shown his amazing shot, hands, etc at times but other times appears to float a little.

He does appear to be heating up a little (I really just think he had 0 chemistry with Geno). People talk about the Crosby line, but last year the most productive line in hockey that couldn't be broken up was Kunitz - Geno - Neal. I'm hoping for that line and Dupuis-Sid-Iggy when everyone is back.

Another reason for him sliding in the background is how great Jokinen, Morrow, Murray have been. It hasn't been as pretty, but the Pens keep winning without Sid, Geno, Neal, and Martin and on most nights it appears to be in large part because of the new guys.

He appears to be fitting in well with the locker room though (no surprise) and apparently hangs out a lot with Morrow

Decent article on the pairings stay here in Pittsburgh thus far

Going to the Sens/Penguins game here in Ottawa tonight

Planning on wearing my Iginla Jersey with a sign that says "Iggy: Calgary Misses you. Go Get Stanley!"

That's awesome. There's been a lot of bad blood between Pens / Sens of late and a lot of Pens fans are worried Ottawa might be out for a blood bath...... I'm guessing it won't be too bad though since Ottawa really needs that win

Yeah, a lot of fans are planning a 'Cooke hatefest'.

But sens really need a win, and the Pens are trying to heal for playoffs - so I imagine it'll be decently tame. But the crowd will likely be decently rowdy, should be a good game.

Just in case anyone was under the impression Iginla might be coming back anytime soon, his home is now on the market

From the calls it looks to be a pretty rough game.

Spoiler!

He already had three in Pittsburgh going into this game, so the one in Ottawa is now his fourth.

That is his fourth goal with the Pens, and 8th point in 10 games (22 mins to go in the 10th). He has goals in three straight.

Let's remember his role on a team with already established go-to goal scorers is going to be different from the do-it-all attitude there was for him in Calgary. For scoring depth on the second line I'd say he's doing just fine

Huge power play goal a couple nights ago in a big game vs. Boston.

And even though this fight fizzled out it's always good to see mad-dog Iggy:

Also worth noting his goal tonight vs. the Sens was the game winner:

Looking forward to seeing him in the playoffs.

4 goals and 8 points in 10 games. Jarmoe getting it done with the Pens. Just an embarrassment of riches in Pittsburgh.

My concern is that once Crosby, Malkin, and Neal come back there will be little time to get chemistry as the lineup will change dramatically. Good to see Jarome playing well. I hope he stays in the Eastern Conference. Better travel and not as grinding a conference.
