Make the red a touch darker and add in the retro white and I'm a happy man.

And this had to be the 3rd or 4th stellar goal that Cervenka has played a part in this season. The one constant has always been Cervenka and Hudler. Serious chemistry between those guys.... when he's not playing 4 minutes a night on the 4th line.

There is no room for floaters like Tanguay anymore. Takes a roster spot from these hungry guys. We need underdogs who forecheck and need the results to get a bigger payday. Tangs, though I love him, just doesn't have the jam.
Horak, Backlund, Baertschi & Brodie are the heart of this team now. Reinhart & Hanowski are hungry, hairy & will get a good crack at the opening day roster. Veterans that compliment these guys should remain (Stemper, Sarich, Cammy,Gio & Hudler) and floaters need to get flushed. The page has been turned, and it makes for a much better read.

Damn Ryan Suter was a stud tonight. +3 tonight and I think he's got a good chance at the Norris. Weber who? Suter is the better player.
Baertschi was real good too. Backlund is a stud, always knew he'd be good for us. And

Agreed. Tanguay and Glencross should be primetime trade bait this offseason.

Disagree. We need skilled players for our young guys to play with.
Would like to see Cammalleri/Stempniak/Stajan moved at the deadline next year though.

Depending on where we land in the draft I think Feaster could pull off a greasy deal ship those two guys somewhere for a high price. Although Cervenka's contract is up he is still a reliable guy. This also could depend on who we take with Pittsburghs and St. Louis's picks.
Anyways great game tonight! Great energy and drive by the young guys. Congratulations Hanowski and keep it up Sven!

I was thinking along the same lines, then I tried to actually put a lineup together.
With Stajan, Cammalleri, Tanguay, Stempniak, Glencross, Hudler and Cervenka as your "older" players, that takes up 7 of your top 9 forward spots.
If you want Backlund, Baertschi, Horak and Reinhart in there, then at least two veteran guys have got to go. That's not even factoring that you may want your top 3 draft pick in the lineup, meaning three vets need to be moved out to make that happen.
So, the question becomes.... who goes?
The 4th line is pretty much a certainty in my eyes with McGrattan, Jackman and the return of Bouma.

Cervenka has no chance of being back. Reinhart and Horak have shown they deserve a spot. I would say Tanguay should go but i am not sure there is a market for him. Maybe Stajan is traded if they pick up MacKinnon.
Also have to factor in that Feaster will want to add a grittier, bigger top 9 forward in UFA or RFA. It's going to be tough for Feaster this summer.

It's a cap floor nightmare though, especially if Kipper retires or is traded.
Just as an example.....
Kipper gone
Backlund @ $1.2 mil
Brodie @ $1.7 mil
Ramo @ $1.5 mil
J Mac @ $0.8 mil
Bouma @ $0.6 mil
Butler @ $1.2 mil
Breen @ $0.6 mil
Cundari @ $0.6 mil
Cervenka @ $1.2 mil
Reinhart, Horak and Baertschi all make the team
...and we'd have a 23 man roster with $18.1 million of cap space.
Start trading guys like Cammalleri, Tanguay or Stempniak and you might free up a roster spot, but you would need to dole out just as much money to a UFA just to stay above the floor, and your roster spot isn't freed up anymore anyways.
Going to be a real interesting off season.

Jarome's pick(Pit): 1 goal (you can call Ben JaroJu for scoring in one of his first 2 games)
Feaster (Bos):0
Bruce Ritchie doing the PA is so much better than Beezly.
