Alex Tanguay - Will he be here in October

i'm glad we have tanguay. His compete level, his high skill plays will help his linemates through this rebuild.

His contract is great value as it is not a heavy cap hit.

I dont see why there is a problem with him staying. I don't think his contract is bad for the numbers he puts up. I would rather move Cammy. I am actually kind of surprised with all the piling on him going on in this thread.

Tanguay is a player that appears to have little pride in his and his teams performance. Not to say this is fact but it sure appears that way. This is the exact opposite of what we want for this team moving forward, teaching the younger players to not give it your all every shift is one of the worst things you can do.

I like Tanguay but this team is headed in a new direction, and we need to burn every last piece of the old core away and start fresh. Tanguay needs to go for this reason alone. I don't believe he is buyout worthy tho, I suspect we could give him away "for a song" if it came to it.

If he is gone in October, it will be by trade. There is no way we buy him out though. He isn't that bad.

It's funny how much rope Iginla was given for his indifference and lackluster play over the past few seasons (he put up points, but didn't try overly hard a lot of the time).
