Also, what are the chances Agostino doesn't sign with the Flames? I wouldn't want to if I was him, but I have no idea if other teams have an interest in him.
I wouldn't worry about him not signing.
1) It's not like his guy has a swatch of leverage. It doesn't sound like a Schultz situations at all.
2) The Flames are showing that they're really pushing to have a strong contingency of NCAA players as the core of the team. (Gaudreau, Ramage, Arnold, Gilles, Jankowski, etc.,). Looks like most of these guys are all going to mature at almost the same time, so from Agostino's standpoint it's a great opportunity to play with a slew players with similar backgrounds, etc.,
Just give these kids a chance to prove what they can do. As to people complaining, or commenting on all of the college kids on the team, I kind of like the change in philosophy. The last time I remember the Flames having this many college kids was in the Mid 80's to early 90's and that seemed to work out alright (Otto, Patterson, Suter, Macoun, Mullen, Niewy,)
As much as I want to be hopeful about either of these guys becoming full time Flames, people on here had me convinced that Chris Chucko could be a top 6 NHL player.

It was kind of different then. The Flames were tapping a source that was being overlooked by a lot of teams and were therefore finding gems that weren't as heavily scouted. The US college system is very heavily scouted now by all teams. There are very little mysteries still out there in that system.

Welcome to both players! It's gonna be hard to live up to the expectations fans have of them for being traded for our captain. But it would be unfair to place such expectations on their shoulders. I will be satisfied if they put forth their best effort, improve every year, and give it their all.
