As much as the Flames suck donkey balls, I'm still pretty pissed at the career doorman and his little stunt during the 1st intermission.

Should give you some perspective as to just how absurd this course of action is by outsiders in hockey if they can't help themselves but discuss it.
Make no mistake about it, they were holding their tongues about o'reilly.
It may not seem like it, but they were biting their tongues tonight as well.

Yeah, I kept thinking "Fire Sale" after the 2nd.

We all know the first phone call he has to make is to GM King and Coach Edwards. The direction of this team comes from the top.

We aren't cup contenders. We'd get raped in the first round of the playoffs. 100 percent guaranteed.

This should look like a straight diagonal line, not a damn staircase. Win 2 lose 4, win 2 lose 4, win 2 lose 4.

Additionally, not to harp on the guy, but I'm pretty sure that this is Feaster's last crack here in the show. I can't see anyone hiring this guy ever again when apparently every team (according to journalists, so grain of salt) see's the disaster we are and the guy is just willing to eat it to maintain a pointless job. Add the O'Reilly "interpretation" to the mix, and he's done after this.

I don't understand ownership being so reluctant at a major re-tooling/rebuild. We're already a bottom feeder team, how much worse could we be? 12th-15th instead of .....13th-15th? We might actually be in a decent situation if they weren't so stupid.

Even this team wins 4-5 in a row, it is a hard sell for the fans to believe in their consistency. And eventually same old same old. It has proven over and over again the last 3-4 years. At this elite level, the fine line separating the great and the good and the bad (sans the brutal) is quite thin. 3 pts or 5 pts out of a playoff spot is not 'we are almost there', especially for the Flames that couldn't push it in the last three years, one must admit that 'we are not good enough'.
What also bothers me is Tanguay. I always like him. I think he tries a lot and very hard as well. But he is one of the weakest link now. Why? Because this may be one of the factors that Hartley came over. And now, Tanguay can't be coached for improvement? We are stuck with the combo of Hartley and Tanguay, who has no Sakic, Forsberg, Drury-calibre players on this Flames team.

Oh, it was pretty clear to me they were biting their tongues. Lots of unfinished sentences and awkward pauses.

Matthew Perry's interview is the most entertaining part of the night. Thankfully they aren't interviewing a Flames player.

We are what Montreal was last year...without the potential to win next year of course.

No, it's worse then that. We're what the Leafs were before Sundin left.
