This loss is on Hartley. When you're pp is struggling like that and you have cervenka and sven on the bench and you give them maybe 30 secs on the man advantage then you're the definition of insane.
Sven looks a bit weak (undersized) on the puck to me I think he would of been stripped with how well Minny was doing it to every one else on our PP.
Man it sounds like we lost 8-0. We lost 2-1 in overtime in a game where the refs decided to dictate the play. After the first period there was absolutely no flow in either teams game because the special teams was on like 80% of the time. Neither team deserved to win that game, it was just a bad effort by both teams, but it's nothing to get too upset about.
Sometimes both teams just get in a game with absolutely no flow and there's nothing either team can do to change it. Sucked we lost an ugly game but don't lose any sleep over it.

We were terrible out there on the pp, and clearly it was a strategy issue.
Yeah but it was also an effort issue and lack of fundamentals. Any successful powerplay needs to outwork what you know will be a hardworking PK. Didn't happen or even come close at any point. Any successful powerplay has to outnumber the puck and support the puck all over the ice. No way was it in the strategy to not do these things. That said, some adjustments and reminders absolutely should have come after the second period and they clearly didn't.

If Phoenix and Colorado both lose this loss isn't that bad. Colorado is losing, Phoenix is not. Gotta hope that changes. If they lose, we don't. Simple as that.
I want some trades. Need to address the needs of this team fast. Stajan almost went down tonight with not one other center on the team. Cannot fathom how management could explain their way out of this if someone in the media actually asked some important questions once in a while.
The PP was bad and cost us the game. Almost seemed like there was no drive during the long powerplays since they thought they had a lot of time with the man advantage. They have to, need to capitalize on such chances.
I saw the Gio penalty happening the second he lost the stick. He has been bad so far this season. Really hope he turns it around, and fast, if the Flames want to have a chance to make the post-season.
Good game by MacDonald. Great to see a backup wearing the Flaming C and having a solid game.
On the bright side 5 points out of the last 3 games is a good thing. Need a better effort on Thursday though.
I was more frustrated by the Flames forwards not giving Gio one of their sticks during that whole scramble. He was without one for 20 seconds it seemed and the puck was on his side against the boards the whole time.
Either give the d-man your stick, or get in there and help out.
