Makes me wonder if TSN has manipulated this situation for some free publicity. Not sure if they are that smart.

I don't think they would do that. If it got out that TSN was playing with racism - although perhaps not directly involved - it would be an ugly story to have to deal with. The risk for the potential reward doesn't make sense.

I don't even bother with Sportsnet anymore the overkill of time dedicated nightly to VAN coverage has me not even watching them at all.
If a viewer is a VAN fan they are in sports heaven with Sportnet especially when Don Taylor is going on and on

If Erick Estrada can't do it, then it probably can't be done.
In all seriousness though, it is intellectually lazy and borderline wilfully ignorant to resign oneself to this sort of thinking. Too many races? Are you serious? Given the way in which _Q_ appears to be defining racial boundaries (not confined to national boundaries), there are maybe 30 or 40 geopolitically and culturally distinct people groups (i.e. Middle Eastern, South Asian, Eastern European, Nordic, sub-Saharan, etc...) on the planet. Anyone who can't be bothered to learn more generally the differences between them should be called out for it.

Personally, I don't care what race the anchors on TSN are, my beef was that these guys suck compared to Jay & Dan.
I have absolutely nothing against their color of skin or heritage, but I do think its a HUGE step down in quality for Sportcentre.

Foreign country?
This discussion is about a bunch of Canadians.
It seems they're offended when people in their own multicultural country intentionally choose not to educate themselves on very simple & obvious differences.
Oh, and considering all coloured Canadians as being in a foreign country offends people too.

I'm the same ethnicity as Nabil and a few of my friends actually talk to him and know him.. but I gotta say the Harold and Kumar comment really made laugh! hahaha :P That's not being racist at all that's just having a good time. People take life way to seriously.

I laughed at that one too. - Half "South Asian"
Of course, they're actually both Kumar, since Harold is of East Asian heritage.

Surely you're not being serious?
FYI: A "double standard" is a principle that is unfairly applied differently to different groups.

If you find a black person than genuinely resembles an ape as much as Bush, and posted something like what I posted, you'd be labled a racist. So yes, there's a double standard.

Are you being purposely oblivious to history?

Do you know all of the geopolitical/cultural groups in Africa? Honest question because I know pretty much nothing about the different cultural groups in Africa, know the basics but I wouldn't be able to tell you any differences based upon appearance and I highly doubt 99% of Canada's population would be able to do so... instead classifying everyone as African.
