Who wants to bet that this team never becomes a seller, even if they are in the cellar at trade deadline??

I think it is more likely they trade some prospects and picks to try to go on a run to hit 9th-11th place and sell us on garbage like "look at that late season run, we are ready to go next year! Intellectual Honesty!!!!!"

You would think the fact that teams ROUTINELY play their backups against you is a sign you are not a good team, and the fact that you have 2 freaking wins at home is a sign you're not a good team, but this ownership and executive is too set on throwing the same garbage out year after year.

This team IS the TML of the West, bar none. Just brutal, and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

But hey, at least they lose in exciting ways now - 1 goal in 2 games, but wayyyy more exciting than the B Sutter years... in fact, it's obvious the reason why this team sucks so bad this year is likely Sutter's fault - I mean the talent on this team is EASILY 3rd-4th in the west, just need to lose their bad habits from Sutter.... yeah, that's it.

Garbage.

Bob Hartley is probably wishing he never signed with the Flames.

Maybe they know in their guts that they have a badly built team. No way it's about tuning out a coach at this point. The lineup is just not that good.

Man, NHL 14 is looking good for the ps4.

What a demo. The highlight of a pretty ho-hum press conference to be sure.

Not sure what they have against the flames though.

Incredibly dull and frustrating game to watch. Seemed like Comeau was out there every shift... or maybe he's just so noticeably awful that I can't help but look for him.

Weisbrod wasn't with the Flames at the 2011 draft. Feaster drafted Sven and Gaudreau, the 2 most valuable pieces this organization has.

I can't believe how little Cammalleri does, I watched him stand in front of the net and do nothing for entire plays. Wont go to the boards, wont fight for the puck. Just stand there all night.

Brent Sutter may have been the worst thing to happen to Calgary in the last 3 years.

He made them look mediocre.

I'd like to see Brian Burke is GM, and since we can't have Carlisle or Tippitt as coach Ruff would be a pretty good choice.

I think it would also be prudent to rebuild the scouting staff as quickly as possible to to eliminate all vestiges of the old regime.

And as I and many others have already suggested it's time to remove kk from his position of authority. This team needs an independently minded CEO that can run this like a business and make the hard decisions without any ownership intervention. There is so much scuttlebutt surrounding the flames and ownership that it's getting harder for me to believe they do not meddle. One or all of them I'm not sure.

Ownership should get their quarterly meetings like any shareholder of a corporation and that's it.

I'm not ripping you, I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying that's how it looks from where I'm sitting.
