Not at all, as I've said, I would rather start with LA over any of the other WC playoff teams. Bunch of underachievers who look good on paper but don't even deserve to be in the playoffs.

I would say there's no way this was a meteorite. You guys will believe anything. I wouldn't exactly expect that puppet Obama to admit to it, but I'm sure the Americans had something to do with this.

Can't anything ever just be, what it actually is? Is every single thing now a Lizard person conspiracy? Makes me wonder how many frikkin lunatics I am actually surrounded by.

So NASA has revised their estimates and are saying this thing exploded with the force of 500kt of TNT, which is pretty terrifying. At least there's not all that pesky fallout though.

The MK1 that was dropped on Hiroshima exploded with the force of 16 kt of TNT, The more efficient Fat Boy that leveled Nagasaki exploded with the equivalency of 21 kt of TNT.
If this Meteor had been lower when it let go or was over a city it would have been devastating and the death toll massive.
Someone needs to brief the president.

It's two fold. In order to explode lower, it would have had to have been larger, which means it would have been in the megaton range.
We need Bill Pullman.

Personally, as far as the dangers from meteors goes, I think research money would be better spent on technologies that would allow for subterranean/underwater cities, terraforming; as well as food synthesizing.
You could save millions if a catastrophic meteor was going to hit the Earth, as opposed to just a handful that would be able to get off the planet and then hopefully to another planet. Plus, those technologies would be far more useful even in the meantime.

Maybe, but there was very little warning of this event, there still needs to be better detection systems and possible defense options.
A underground shelter is useless if you can't get to it.
And who would go and who would save, and would Frodo save the day with a motorcycle
