I actually think that the music at the dome has been improving over the past couple seasons. I like that they're playing more EDM these days; Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris and Avicii are on the regular playlist. It nicely compliments the increased number of Europeans on the squad.

I've been pleasantly surprised that they have not played that once yet this season.

I like the current goal song. It's unique and I prefer it to the previous AC/DC song:
- You could barely make out that the guy was saying "shot down in flames" over the crowd noise, it would just sound like a generic AC/DC song to most people
- It's not a popular song, only AC/DC fans would have ever heard it before
- It's just not a very good song

Does anyone know what the goal song was before "Disco Inferno"? I can't remember back that far.

How about adding about 5 renditions of "Chelsea Dagger" for Saturday night?!

As a fan that saw games with unmasked goalies at the old Barn in Chicago, IMO, this packaged, slick, faux excitment stuff is not as good as a big-butt pipe organ, and an organist with a large repertoire and a sense of humor to improvise to the situation.

But, times change, and slick light shows with individual theme music has endless possibilities...

someone earlier mentioned a version of "Ring of Fire", I've always been partial to the Wall of Voodoo's very strange interpretation of the tune.

Any classic rockers out there, like myself, would know Fire, by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown...It can be adapted to a Flames reference by editing in the verse where he laughs hysterically and screams "You're Gonna Burn...Burn...Burn" followed by the wild Trumpet refrain, after Flame goals, or something similar.

You will never satisfy everyone with a single song choice. I think people have to accept what one person may think is awesome, another may think it is crap. Hence, the propensity for "popular" music. It is in the pop charts for a reason, because it appeals to the masses.

To be honest, most of the goal songs around the league are crap anyways... I just went to the Oilers game.... And their goal song is an abomination.... They play the Pitbull "Don't stop the party" song.

So everytime we hear our goal song, just remember... It could be much worse..

No more AC/DC.

As a person who played 7 years of hockey, I grind my teeth at the sound of any of their songs.

I love that the Pens use this song at their games.

The music sucks in the Dome way to much dance time to get back to some heavy rock.

I like the goal songs, where the crowd chants/sings right after the goal. Really livens the atmosphere.

I think Rangers have one, and the crappy chicago one.
