Isn't being a disgusting pervert a mental disorder? I mean seriously though, without defending anybody, wouldn't you consider anybody who does something out of the norm to have a mental disorder of some kind? No sane person commits murder or rape.

I could think of 3 or 4 different mental disorders I could qualify for, as could almost anyone if they dug deep enough into their quirks and psyche. I can understand someone like Dahmer or Vincent Li as people you could truly say they were under the influence of an external force, those people were truly sick, even though I believe they gave up their right to live when they committed their crimes.

But some disgusting seat sniffer on a bus? Learn how to control yourself you mouth breathing, basement dweller. We all have urges, and succumbing to them doesn't give you a get out of jail free card. If that is the case, there are half a dozen Casino's in Vegas that owe me a total of about 50 grand, because I wasn't responsible for my urges.

I would think that touching buns could be a good indicator of other crimes. Perhaps he was rubbing something onto the buns? I could tell he was not checking them for quality, he was groping them and I don't know what was on his hands. He is lucky there was a superstore person nearby so I didn't have to drag him too far.

I think the police would like to know who tampers with food.

I don't agree and I also don't think there is a huge overreaction.

I don't recall many solutions in this thread.

Tell me you actually said that.

Seriously though, this is certainly a creepy story, but do you really think this guy should be locked up for good? Or maybe you could explain what you mean by "no business in public", because that to me means "not allowed outside".
I did say that because I wasn't sure what exactly was in his hands (was it flour, icing or something else?).

If someone cannot control themselves, then yes see you later. I am pretty consistent with this.

I find there to be a massive difference between being mentally handicapped and having a mental illness. Just in hypothosis, suppose the attacker had Downs syndrome, are you going to beat the tar out of that guy at risk of a severe public flogging yourself?

the problem with this is not that it is a huge overreaction, but rather the potential of the actions.

lets say that its later at night, in a poorly lit or unpopulated area - girl gets off bus and is followed by the creep, who, initially, only had the hair fetish, but could easily turn into something more sinister depending on circumstance.

as been said already, I wonder why the cameraman didnt either try to stop it, or get a face shot of the guy.

mental illness or not, personal space has to be respected in every way shape and form.

If the guy was sexually assaulting the woman I certainly would use whatever force was necessarily to stop the guy. Does the woman have to put up with someone touching her because he has Downs Syndrome? It's not her problem, and the mental scars will be just as deep whether it is Downs dude, or some handsome High School jock.

Did someone say the 'crime' warranted a 'beat the tar out'?

Force would be used stop the act and make everyone safe until the police arrive.

Some lady standing behind me was touching my ass on the train from 6th street to chinook today. At first I thought it was just a coincidence but then not only did it continue, but every time we slowed down her hand would press against my ass much more then the rest of her body. Normally shouldn't people refrain from using other peoples ass as something to lean on for support on the train?

I thought it was more funny then anything and it made think of this thread but I could only imagine what would happen if the roles were reversed. The double standard lives.

She wasn't exactly ugly but she wasn't noteworthy either...

If she was hot I probably would've started a separate thread and maybe thrown a party.

My university had an issue with perverts cutting holes into the bathroom stalls so they could check people out while pooping. This was only done in the men's washroom and it turned out to be men watching men. One buddy even had a hand come up and grab his leg!

I think as diverse as life is on the planet, there too are sick pervs in every corner.

*Bump*

No charges will be laid against that creepy hair stroking dude.

Calgary Police say that they won’t be laying any charges in a bizarre incident where a man was caught on camera touching the hair of a female passenger.

They say they’ve identified both of the parties involved and have spoken with them.
As a result, they say no charges will be laid because there is no risk to public safety.
